If you’ve ever watched a basketball game at Webb, you’ve probably seen Eric Zhu– on the court as a starting player or on the sidelines managing the team with quiet intensity. Basketball has been the heart of Eric’s Webb journey, a constant through four years of growth, challenge, and friendship. As team captain, he led with dedication, even when he couldn’t play due to a knee injury. Eric brought that same spirit of commitment to Webb’s student life as the vice executive president. He helped organize events like Prom and Homecoming, where he wasn’t just in charge, but also on the dance floor. His favorite Webb memory is freshman year’s Bonding Day, when he watched his first-ever NBA game with his friend Alan Wang. Outside of class and basketball, Eric is known for his love of late-night gaming sessions and spontaneous campus hangouts. In the fall, Eric is heading to Cornell University to study hotel management and business, a path influenced by his family. Though he envisions a future in consulting, finance, or maybe even launching a startup, he knows that hospitality will always be close to his heart.
