Hailing from Shenzhen and New Jersey, Eric Luo carries an aura of mystique and sophistication that hides a student who is deeply passionate about what he does. As the president of the Cooking Club and Mycology Club, careful preparation and research allowed Eric to be the first Webb student to grow mushrooms in his room. This allowed him to grow pink oyster mushrooms in his closet for members of the club to enjoy, fusing his 2 interests together in a way only he could. As a journalist at the WCC, he writes provoking and innovative articles that turn the school upside down with his thought-provoking words. Even when others try to restrain his hobbies, Eric will always keep doing what he loves, even when it causes a few social faux pas. During the weekends, Eric loves to go out on bike rides to Target or Walmart to get groceries, which he uses to create his own lunches and dinners at his leisure. As Eric heads towards new beginnings in Rice University, he hopes to explore the meaning behind the stars as an astrophysicist, celebrating the memories he has made while staying optimistic about the future to come.
