On Sunday, May 26th, the WSC Classes of 2022, 2021, and 2020 gathered in Hooper Student Center to celebrate the conclusion of the 2018-2019 school year. Despite the rain, the WSC prefects, Will Allan, Ken Rosenfeld, and Kevin Quick still managed to throw a lively party featuring tacos, ice cream sandwiches, and lots of video games. With the Class of 2019 on their Grand Canyon trip, the rest of the WSC students were left pondering their own futures at Webb.
Arshia Sazi (‘22), a rising sophomore, said, “I’m looking forward to moving into more challenging classes, but at the same time, I’m worried that I might be overwhelmed by some of my new courses.”
Jackson Malicay (‘21), a rising junior, said, “I’m most excited about stepping into my new role as a prefect, and becoming a leader and role model on campus. I’m a little nervous about balancing my new responsibilities with the academic challenges of junior year.”
Finally, Gabriel Hong (‘20) said, “Since I’m a PA, I’m excited to meet all the new freshmen, but since I’m going to be a senior, I’m nervous about my AP classes and starting the college process.”
The transition between grades is not yet official, but it is clear that next year is already on the minds of Webb students. They look forward to the challenges and successes of the year to come.
