Sarah Nguyen, Staff Writer
If you ever walk into South Hutch, you’ll spot Sarah Nguyen (‘28) stirring a Vietnamese dish while the SoHo crew gathers around her with chopsticks in hand. There, Sarah is more than just a chef; she’s the table, the place where everyone gathers. One year into Webb, Sarah has planted herself in every corner of the community. To spot her presence, you might have to look everywhere. She spikes in fall volleyball, drives to the hoop in winter basketball, and trades shots in spring badminton. Each activity is another way for Sarah to be the table: steady and reliable, a foundation for laughter and gatherings. That same spirit of bringing people together carries into the little things she loves. Her favorite show, “Brooklyn 99,” mirrors Sarah’s own life: a cast of characters working together, each contributing their energy. Just as she brings people together through cooking and sports, journalism will become Sarah’s next gathering spot. As a new staff writer of the Webb Canyon Chronicle, she will invite readers to pull up a chair at her table through her articles, just as she does with her cooking.
