Mr. Szanyi strives to balance different color schemes to achieve a distinct yet harmonious style. He loves to update and maintain a closet filled with clothes that will catch someone's eye. “I use a variety of sources. I follow the fashion magazines, I follow the folks on Instagram and TikTok, and I watch the videos to stay on trend,” Mr. Szanyi said.

Every day from Monday to Friday on the week of December 5th, we chose a faculty member with the most eye-catching outfit and interviewed them about their style preferences. With their different emphasis on weather, mood, and personal style, these faculty showcase the diversity of the Webb community. Emily Li ('24) is not your usual iPad kid. You might see her using her tablet, but trust me: she isn't playing Roblox. She is a passionate artist who loves to create artwork on her iPad. Emily's favorite thing to draw is the people around her, focusing on experimenting with colors. She also enjoys dancing to popular K-pop stars IU and Mamamoo. Just like her top-notch dancing skills, she has a crazy tolerance for spice – do not be surprised when you see her empty bottle of sriracha. However, Emily's dynamic personality is not confined to her personal endeavors. As head peer advisor, she steps into a leadership role that suits her naturally empathetic and social nature. She finds joy in building bridges, fostering connections, and offering a sympathetic ear to those around her. One of Emily’s main goals this year is to give as much love as she can to the world. At the Webb canyon chronicle is to improve the diversity of articles and further refine the website after designing it. In a world where each stroke of her digital pen, every dance step, and all her interactions paint a picture of her vibrant self, Emily Li stands not only as a multitalented artist, leader, athlete and beacon of positivity, illuminating everything she touches with her unique and colorful perspective.
Berklee Antecol, Chief of Social Media
Berklee Antecol (‘25) radiates like the sun, and loves to embrace the thrilling waves of the sea. As a surfer of the sea, she is always up for a new adventure. Just like her recent upgrade of her favorite meal from chicken nuggets to steak and fries. Her love for numbers and market analysis leads her to be a top student in math and economic courses at Webb. Berklee strives to work in the analytical side of the fashion industry, but she spent her summer exploring other fields of expertise, including an internship at an AI company. Her optimistic energy shines through her work as a peer advisor and admission ambassador. She is driven by her desire to spread kindness and her love to engage with everyone in the community. This year, Berklee aims to become more flexible with her content planning in newsroom as Chief of Social Media of the Webb Canyon Chronicle.

Sydney Mildon, Chief Editor of Features
As a talented baker and cook, Sydney Mildon (‘25) has sweetened the atmosphere around her. With her social and creative talents, she has skillfully seasoned her life. Due to her sweet characteristics, Sydney expresses her personality like her famous key lime pies. As the head dorm prefect of Appleby, Sydney has expressed her passion for building a safe community in her dorm. She also indicated that she loves interacting with new students to help them whisk into the Webb community. Additionally, Sydney also dreams of becoming a prosecutor. During her stay at the reputable Georgetown University’s Law and Advocacy program this summer, she supported her interest in political science. While her idea about feminism helps her develop justice, she truly believes in supporting women in general. In her free time, Sydney enjoys spending quality time with her friends. For example, she enjoys target runs and going outside of campus together. You can always talk to Sydney about Gilmore Girls and Game of Thrones as those are her favorite shows. In fact, Sydney’s liking of Steve Lacy and Bruno Mars displays her candied nature. With her undeniable diligence, Sydney is ready to shine in her senior year just like her delicious pastries.
