During the Hiking the Trans-Catalina Trail Unbounded Trip, participants endure one of the most demanding yet rewarding backpacking trails. Students encountered beautiful scenery and built new friendships. “This trip pushed me out of my comfort zone, and we ended up camping in some incredible spots,” Frannie Hinch (‘25) said.

She is a passionate artist who loves to createartwork on her iPad.Emily's favorite thing to draw is the people around her, focusing on experimenting with colors. She also enjoys dancing to popular K-popstars IU and Mamamoo. Just like hertop-notchdancing skills, she has a crazy tolerance for spice – donotbe surprised when you see herempty bottle of sriracha. However, Emily's dynamic personality isnotconfined to her personal endeavors. As head peer advisor, she steps into a leadership role that suits her naturally empathetic and socialnature. She finds joy in building bridges, fostering connections, and offering a sympathetic ear to those around her. Having lived all around the globe from Shanghai, China, to Boston, Massachusetts, and most recently Washington D.C.,Yuki Layman ('25) knows that home is where she makes it.!Yuki is an engaged student in all her classes, but it is her strong knowledge in Humanities thatimpressesher teachers.Especially, during her Advanced Studies Culture and Politics at the Border class, taught by one of her favorite teachers at Webb, Mr. Huerta.Yuki spends her free time in a variety of ways, either going to the village with friends or simply watching Top Boy, her personal favoriteTV show that her brother highly recommended.Although she enjoys going out, she stays connected with her life back home by making sure to call her family every night.As well as stayingup-to-date with current events,jumping into hot-topic debates with her lawyer dad and brother who is studying InternationalRelations. Coming back to the Webb Canyon Chronicle this year as Editor of News, Yuki is ready to keep the Webb community informed accuratelyas a Jameson resident again, making Webb her “home” for the rest of year.
