Chances are, you’ve seen Sydney Becker grace the Liu Cheung stage. A three-season theatre kid who starred in 11 Webb productions, she masters long monologues for the fall plays, dances seamlessly in the winter dance shows, and belts show tunes during the spring musicals. Her commitment goes beyond just performing; she contributes to cultivating community within cast and crews of productions by maintaining theatre traditions, always ensuring that flowers and cards are organized during closing nights. Like a true actress, Sydney plays many roles at Webb: she is a dedicated admission fellow, skilled paleontology researcher, and caring friend. From a young age, she has nurtured a passion for animal care, feeling a profound connection with them that has fueled her ambition to work at a zoo in the future. As Sydney takes her final bow at Webb, she looks forward to pursuing her passions for animals and the performing arts with a double major in Theatre and Organismal Biology at Scripps College.
