Lisa Peng, Co-Editor of Photography
Zodiac signs might not mean much to you, but once you meet Lisa Peng ('24), you will see that she embodies her astrological sign, a Capricorn. Lisa, like a Capricorn, is known for being persistent, hardworking, loyal, ambitious, and often making her achievements seem like they take no effort at all. Over the summer, Lisa exemplified these traits by immersing herself in rigorous programs that exposed her to different creative writing styles. She attended the New York Times program where she learned new techniques and practiced her writing skills. As a Photography Editor at the WCC, Lisa will make full use of the techniques she learned and continue her love for highlighting individual people. In other words, you had better keep an eye out: you may be featured in her next story. Besides being a part of the WCC, she is also bringing her Capricorn energy to as a day student prefect and plans to be involved in organizing more Webb events. This year, Lisa plans to keep up her hard work taking on her new editing position while also incorporating many new creative pieces to the WCC using her greatest talent: an effortless ability to bring things from her imagination to reality.

Eric Luo, Chief of Media
Eric Luo (‘25), a senior looking forward to graduating at the end of this year, brings a unique blend of passions to campus. As the leader of the Mycology club, Eric’s enthusiasm for nature shines through his hobby of growing mushrooms; a practice he enjoys for its sustainable benefits and culinary rewards, this passion for environmental preservation mirrors his dedication to upholding strong journalistic integrity. Eric spent this summer abroad reconnecting with old friends in China and Hong Kong; traveling to Japan, he enriched his palette and broadened his perspective. Adding on to his talents, Eric is also musically inclined, composing jazz and playing three instruments: saxophone, bassoon, and piano. Continuing his journalistic pursuit in his final year, Eric remains determined to produce impactful work for the Webb Canyon Chronicle. He also hopes to bring thought-provoking content surrounding politics, such as foreign policies, social issues, and other controversies that people may feel judged in talking about. This year, Eric looks forward to bringing forward a variety of opinions and voices in and out of the Webb community, giving everybody a platform to be heard.

Chloe Wang, Social Media Manager
Upon meeting Chloe Wang ('24), her laid-back personality reveals itself. Besides spending a relaxing summer back home in China, Chloe also ventured into the Inner Mongolia, casually unwinding on a camel's back while she rode through the desert and grasslands. As she returns to Webb, Chloe continues to express her carefree nature when hanging out with her friends at the Claremont Village, playing video games, experimenting with makeup, and watching anime. Chloe seeks to expand and learn more about her own culture, especially when she is away from home, and especially while she is experiencing new and different ways of life, such as living at a boarding school in a different country. Chloe has the quiet strength of immersing herself in her own world and is focused on improving her journalistic skills and her knack for innovation. As the Webb Canyon Chronicle’s Social Media Manager, Chloe hopes to increase the readership for the website by promoting the WCC on social media. Cross paths with Chloe Wang on campus, and her dynamic personality is impossible to miss.
Song: Melody – 陶喆
Emily Li, Chief of Media
Emily Li ('24) is not your usual iPad kid. You might see her using her tablet, but trust me: she isn't playing Roblox. She is a passionate artist who loves to create artwork on her iPad. Emily's favorite thing to draw is the people around her, focusing on experimenting with colors. She also enjoys dancing to popular K-pop stars IU and Mamamoo. Just like her top-notch dancing skills, she has a crazy tolerance for spice – do not be surprised when you see her empty bottle of sriracha. However, Emily's dynamic personality is not confined to her personal endeavors. As head peer advisor, she steps into a leadership role that suits her naturally empathetic and social nature. She finds joy in building bridges, fostering connections, and offering a sympathetic ear to those around her. One of Emily’s main goals this year is to give as much love as she can to the world. At the Webb canyon chronicle is to improve the diversity of articles and further refine the website after designing it. In a world where each stroke of her digital pen, every dance step, and all her interactions paint a picture of her vibrant self, Emily Li stands not only as a multitalented artist, leader, athlete and beacon of positivity, illuminating everything she touches with her unique and colorful perspective.
