Webbies Visualize their Ideal Stress Less Week
February 25, 2025
Webb students Freya Fu (‘26), Sebastian Saeedy (‘26), and Thomas Chiu (‘26) mimic a common scene Webbies exhibit during finals or assessment-heavy weeks. To combat Webb’s stressful nature, events held by various leadership groups—such as the PA’s Stress Less Week—aim to create a more peaceful environment on campus. “Typically, I go to the Stress Less Week events and have fun, but this year I wasn’t really stressed, and it was really cold when they held the water balloon fight,” said Maya Chin (‘26). Whether Stress Less Week effectively achieves its goal of reducing stress, considering its planned activities and timing, is called into question, making it necessary to explore what an ideal version of Stress Less Week might look like.

About the Contributor

Gianna Darden, Public Editor
For Gianna Darden (’26), life is rooted in connections. Whether she is rallying with her best friends on the pickleball courts, shopping for her little brother, or working at her local boba shop, she thrives at building relationships that reflect her values: family, kindness, and inclusion. Known by friends as social and bubbly, she radiates optimism throughout all of her leadership roles. As an admission ambassador, peer advisor, and co-public editor for the Webb Canyon Chronicle, Gianna extends that same warmth to her community, ensuring everyone feels seen and supported. In her free time, she experiments with quirky snack combinations (like pickles and chili oil), long hikes, and weekend cartoon marathons. She draws inspiration from characters like Katara from “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” who embodies her devotion to family and her role as an older sister. Gianna embodies joy and fun in her daily life. She demonstrates her passion for advocacy in advancing women’s rights and gender equality as a co-founder of the non-profit organization Vending4Change. She strives to challenge systemic barriers and spark conversations about inclusion. For her final year at Webb, she aims to continue promoting student voices and diversity throughout campus. She firmly believes that staying true to her values means strengthening the bonds that matter the most because, for Gianna, every path forward begins with connection.
