During the week of December 3rd, the peer advisors (PAs)  are hosting their annual stress less week! Different leadership groups will be organizing a variety of events around campus to help you destress every day of the week.

The PAs will also be promoting their sleep campaign. If you download the sleep tracker “Pillow” in the App Store, you can monitor your sleep quality and quantity. There will be PAs at each of the stress less events to record how much sleep you got. If the student body makes it to 8,000  hours in four days, we will have a school-wide pajama day on Friday, December 7th.

To make the action-packed week less stressful to navigate, here is a breakdown of each day’s activities.

Monday, December 3rd: Limbo competition

Time: 12:30 p.m. to 1:10 p.m.

Location: Outside the library

Sleep loggers: Jacob Weigand (‘20), Hannalise Davidson (‘20), and Shelby Mokricky (‘20)

The PAs will be doing a stress less event in combination with a house cup event. Come in comfortable clothes and footwear with good traction! Cheer on your house and have a chance to see how low you can really go.

Tuesday, December 4th: Water balloon toss

Time: 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Location: The quad

Sleep loggers: Cathy Yan (‘19), Christine Zhang (‘19) and Brooke Fakhoury (‘19)

The honor cabinet and council are hosting a water balloon toss for you to cool off during this stressful time of year. Join the fun at the quad or just come watch!

Wednesday, December 5th: Puppies

Time: 12:15 p.m. to 1:10 p.m.

Location: Chandler Field

Sleep loggers: Maya Jaffe (‘20), Riley Brick (‘19) and Michelle Munguia (‘20)

Everyone loves puppies. Stop by and spend a couple minutes surrounded by love.

Thursday, December 6th: Paper snowflake making

Time: 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Location: Dining hall fireplace

Sleep loggers: Rachel Kho (‘19), Caitlyn Ossa (‘19) and Jacob Passalaqua (‘19)

The dorm councilors and prefects will have paper and scissors for you to do some satisfying paper cutting. Come destress, make Christmas decorations, and listen to some festive music!

Friday, December 7th: Chalk drawings

Time: 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Location: The quad

Sleep loggers: Simon Dawson (‘19), Juan Pablo Calderoni (‘19) and Gil Dominguez-Letelier (‘20)

Student government will have plenty of colorful chalk for you to unleash your inner artist. Relax and brighten up the campus by stopping by and picking up a piece of chalk!
