About the Contributors
Sydney Mildon
Sydney Mildon, Co-Editor of Features
When speaking with Sydney Mildon (‘25), you should always expect the unexpected. Usually quiet in class, Sydney can be strikingly loud when the vibe feels right. A bubbly and talkative person, she likes to hang out with friends, go on weekend runs, try different foods, and watch Gilmore Girls on replay. This summer, she traveled with her family to the Bahamas, Utah, and back to her home in Las Vegas. While enjoying the lighthearted side of life, Sydney also takes on many responsibilities in the Webb community. As a prefect for Jones dormitory, she takes care of her fellow boarders and ensures that they can fully engage in residential life. As an admission ambassador, she introduces prospective Webb students to the campus family. As a scholar, she is passionate about women's rights and is interested in becoming a lawyer to pursue the legal aspects of feminism and rape culture. Returning to the WCC as Editor of Features, Sydney is willing to have fun with her role while ensuring WCC articles’ quality. Additionally, she wants to increase the amount of her article outputs this year. With so many different aspects coming together in her, let us expect the unexpected articles from Sydney Mildon this year!   Favorite Song: "Lovers Rock" by TV Girl
Berklee Antecol
Berklee Antecol, Co-Editor of Opinion
As a fashionista, Berklee Antecol (‘25) not only loves the design side of fashion but also the statistics. Although she wants to study economics or business in the future, Berklee also has a fascination with the fashion industry. Her personality is like a vibrant pink fabric in a mix of pastel colors. This gradient is carried through her experiences in the Webb community; wherever you are, she will stand out as a bright glow of energy and positivity. Like a seamstress selecting the right thread for the fabric, she works as an admission ambassador, introducing prospective students into the fabric of the Webb community. Yet Berklee's life is not just bold pink; she can settle into paler, calmer hues of pink as well. She loves to snuggle on the couch and click play on her favorite Netflix show, Gilmore Girls, or listen to calm music like Still Woozy to improve her homework efficiency. This year, as the Editor of Opinion, Berklee wants to jump into a fast-working mindset and to write and publish as many articles as she can. Like sewing haute couture, Berklee is always ready to go with fast quality work.   Song: I Feel Fantastic - Riovaz
Ethan Normann
Ethan Normann, Staff Writer
If you spot a football cutting through the Webb sky, chances are that Ethan Normann (‘25) is nearby. As a quarterback for Webb’s football team, Ethan throws and catches his beloved football almost every day, whether with his friends during lunch time, at practices with teammates, or when playing high-stake games on Faculty Field. Just as Ethan hurls a football to his teammates, he launches himself at experiences and opportunities, embracing them like one might catch a swift, spiraling pass. Ethan credits Ms. Fisher’s American Society class as a “life-changing Webb experience, citing the games and materials as having fueled his growing passion for history. He has also developed a fine taste for all corners of the entertainment world: country and rap music, timeless movies like Forrest Gump, and TV shows like Brooklyn 99. His love for movies and TV shows has sparked an interest in the writers strike, as he hopes to advocate for the writers behind his favorite movies to get compensated. Junior year will be an exciting one for Ethan Normann as he aims for big goals: to make this the best year it can be write more meaningful content for the WCC, and to win even more football games. Favorite Song: "Power Trip" by J. Cole
Sohum Uppal
Sohum Uppal, Editor of Science & Technology
Sohum Uppal (‘25) likes to build cars during his free time. Yes, you heard that right — not toy cars or miniature models, but life-sized, mechanical engines used for transportation. Currently embroiled in fixing a motorcycle, he finds peace in tinkering with nuanced components to enliven a fully functional vehicle. Just like how he enjoys fine-tuning wires and relocating structures, Sohum lives for the thrill of transforming numbers and functions when he tries to solve math problems. In fact, he had been learning math during the past summer while making chicken boxes at Raising Cane's and playing with his Siberian husky, Astro. Sohum’s productive break ended a week earlier than most of his peers, because of his new leadership role as the student government’s serotonin commissioner. He loved planning community events such as the Welcome Back Dance and hopes to give students a boost of happiness, especially during stressful times. Sohum looks forward to establishing genuine connections with the Webb community this year through community service and sports. As the Science and Technology Section Editor in the WCC, he strives to increase related articles with his passion for STEM. One thing is for certain: the Tech section is in great hands.   Favorite song: Nascar dashcar- lucki
Gianna Darden
Gianna Darden, Staff Writer
Gianna Darden (‘26), exudes the charm and radiant smile of a bunny. Although friends may compare Gianna to a bunny, she embodies more traits of an owl. Not only are owls Gianna’s favorite animal, but they guide her star sign, Sagittarius. Sagittarius are most known for being ambitious and passionate. Gianna demonstrates these traits through her dedication to women's rights. In fact, she is driven to make a change in feminine products being affordable for everyone. According to Sagittarius Traits, Sagittarius are also known for “cherishing family ties.” Gianna's closeness with her family enabled her to adopt her passion for women's rights. One of Gianna's favorite activities is eating dinner with her family and discussing controversial topics, like choosing DC over Marvel. Gianna also enjoys being in nature. Like owls, Gianna relishes being surrounded by nature. According to Sagittarius Spirit Animals owls are known for being “clear-sighted and having a different view of the world.” This year, Gianna hopes to bring different perspectives to the Webb Canyon Chronicle to discuss important, controversial, and funny topics with the Webb Community.  Favorite Song: "Baby Doll" by Dominic Fike
