WSC Basketball places 5th in Thirty-Seventh Annual Webb Classic

Eric Zhu (‘25) starts the tournament off as point guard for the WSC Basketball Team against Rio Hondo. The game starts quickly as Webb wins the tip off giving them first possession trying to put points on the board as Eric calls out the offensive play.

![Senior wrestler, Ken Lin (24’), goes up against one of the many wrestlers who attended this year’s wrestling CIF championship. Out of 30 members on the wrestling team, only four upperclassmen and 4 other members qualified to participate in the CIF wrestling tournament. “This year was a pivotal year for Webb wrestling,” said Eric Hansen, VWS and WSC wrestling coach and humanities department faculty. “This year, our team has had the most members [it’s ever had], and suddenly, the possibilities felt bigger.”](https://webbcanyonchronicle.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/IMG_4375-1200x900.jpg)

Relishing all the small moments, Nicolaas Grobler (‘24) captures them all by engaging with different forms of media, from video editing to photography. Aside from this, Nick enjoys skateboarding with friends, listening to artists like Playboi Carti and Tay-K or watching some of his favorite shows like The Office or BoJack Horseman. This past summer, Nick returned to Long Island, New York, where he often returns each year to spend with his family. From working as a busboy to volunteering as a nurse, Nick was staying busy. Whether in front of or behind the camera, he finds a way to capture his passions in the spotlight. His interests in both business from trading stocks and the medical field have inspired him to pursue a future in the biotech business industry. As Nick enters his final year at Webb and in journalism as the Editor of Photography, he hopes to expand the media content he puts out while enjoying his last memories here, one click at a time.

Troy Seanoa, Chief of Sports
If Troy Seanoa (‘24) got the chance to go on vacation at this moment, he would escape to Hawaii to soak up the sun. His laid-back attitude, mixed with a willingness to try something new, are what distinguish him as a friend and a journalist. When Troy is not on vacation, he shines on Faculty Field as a senior football team captain with years of rugby football experience under his belt. After the games are over, he can be found eating At Chili’s with friends, hanging out at his grandparents’ house, or relaxing on Sundays. Like an ocean breeze, Troy goes with the flow in any situation. Whether it is daily activities with his friends, exploring a vacation spot or catching up with his grandparents, Troy will always find enjoyment in whatever he decides to do. As a journalist, Troy channels his easygoing vibe in his articles, spanning a variety of sections ranging from sports to features. For the future, Troy wants to maximize productivity during the publication cycle to maximize relaxation on vacation.
