After having a very successful season, Saira Bhagat (‘25) and Jasmine Beseth (‘25) take a break after qualifying for CIF individuals. Both have dominated the court on varsity since freshman year, and their three years together shows in their excellent communication on the court. “I’m most proud of the fact that we made it to CIF, and we had a really great season with a lot of spirit,” said Saira. Jasmine agreed that this season, everyone bonded really well and contributed to a positive team spirit. “This season, I'm proud of getting to know everyone and having fun,” Jasmine said.

![On one of the Webb robotics team’s new Skytech Nebula computers is Jake Hui (‘25), engineer of Webb’s 358 Robotics team who is currently improving his team’s robot virtually in a Computer Aided Design application, or CAD. Before the building, the driving, and the victories, comes the prototyping of the robot.
“Right here [on his computer] is where the robot is designed, and I have access to all the parts that I need to try things out,” Jake said.
Technical computer skills as well as an intimate knowledge of how robots work is required to efficiently work in the CAD design space. The skills are well worth the time spent, as it can save hours or even days' worth of time spent on assembly in the real world.

With a kind smile and calming voice, Kristine Bisgaard (‘25) is the embodiment of the Danish concept of “hygge”: a word that cannot be directly translated into English but roughly means an atmosphere of comfort, coziness, and connection between people. Hailing from Denmark – although she has moved around the world since she was seven years old, going from Northern Europe to the Bay Area, and now Claremont – Kristine is no stranger to frequent change. Even her introduction to Webb was more sudden than most, as she simultaneously entered boarding school and the Webb Canyon Chronicle as a new junior. Despite the inevitable obstacles, Kristine has welcomed every opportunity to explore her new community with an open mind and easygoing personality. This year, Kristine looks forward to continuing to watch her favorite Danish TV shows, making new friends in her “home away from home,” and learning how to utilize journalism to make her own unique contribution to the Webb community by serving as a bridge between academic and social life. From embracing the creative freedom that Honors Studio Art offers to playing her best as a varsity tennis athlete, Kristine will no doubt delicately balance the rigor that Webb encourages with her love of “hygge” and spending time with the people she cares about.
