Victor Li’s Webb experience is shaped by an entrepreneurial mindset that runs through his friendships, academics, and daily routines. From his earliest memories of North Hutch life—hanging out with friends, celebrating birthdays like a hotpot gathering, and even performing “Barbie Girl” for Webb Idol in freshman year—Victor has tended to approach experiences with curiosity, experimentation, and an instinct for opportunity. The same entrepreneurial mindset shows up in Victor’s leadership. As a prefect of Upper Macleod, he has worked consistently to solve any problems his residents face, like giving a detailed step-by-step guide to surviving Webb to curious freshmen or talking people through their problems. His entrepreneurial mindset also shaped his role as the badminton varsity captain, where he focused on developing team culture and helping players steadily improve. That same mindset became most visible in his interest in Pokémon cards, which evolved into a small, hands-on business through buying, selling, and investing. After joining the live auction platform Whatnot as a verified buyer, Victor was given a seller’s permit, which allowed him to start selling directly. A true businessman, he quickly noticed pricing differences between China and the U.S. market and began sourcing cards from China to resell domestically. As his activity grew, he built a small operation in his room with a streaming setup, label printer, and shipping system. Victor will continue his passion for entrepreneurship and business at Babson College, carrying with him the same instinct for experimentation, adaptability, and growth that shaped his time at Webb.
