If you only knew Anna Park through text, you would probably assume she had nothing to say. While most of her replies are a few words at most, on campus, Anna somehow manages to be involved in almost everything. Between being a two-year varsity tennis captain, dorm council chair, admissions ambassador, and holding several other leadership roles, Anna has become part of nearly every corner of Webb life. Though she enjoys studying alone in cafés on weekends, Anna still finds herself constantly surrounded by people and community. Whether she is helping her friends on the tennis team with their technique, organizing dorm events for Appleby, or making prospective students feel welcome on campus, she quietly brings people together wherever she goes. Her willingness to throw herself into new experiences even extends into her academic work. Inspired by her time volunteering at organizations for children with autism, Anna developed a science fair project last year exploring new ways to screen for autism using retinal imaging and machine learning. And as she heads to Northwestern University, rest assured that somewhere between research, leadership, and tennis, she will still find time for café trips, Shawn Mendes’ concerts, and losing her lip gloss.
