Henry Lu can quietly become one of the most memorable people in the room. He doesn’t demand attention, but he always has some unexpected interest, skill, or idea to share. Whether he is exploring math and physics, practicing badminton, learning juggling and card tricks, or studying Chinese poetry, Henry approaches life with a deep sense of curiosity that makes him both endlessly interesting and difficult to define. He has spent his time at Webb pursuing a wide variety of passions, from robotics and debate to science fair and paleo. Although he jokes about surviving Webb Wi-Fi as one of his greatest accomplishments, much of Henry’s Webb experience has been shaped by the friendships and memories he built through robotics his freshmen year, a program he says challenged him the most. This became a part of Webb he treasures most. Henry believes success is simply being happy and doing what feels natural and meaningful to him. As he heads to Johns Hopkins next year, Henry leaves behind a reputation as someone uniquely authentic and undertakes a wide range of interests, making Webb a more interesting place for everyone around him.
