Emma Liu’s time at Webb is best understood through movement: on stage, on the tennis courts, and in the rhythm of rehearsals shared with friends. A dancer for the past three years at Webb, she has built much of her school experience around performance, especially through Webb’s seasonal productions, which she values for their fun and supportive environment. One of her defining memories comes from her sophomore year, when she performed as a dancer in “Chicago”, a moment that shaped her confidence on the stage. Leadership served as another stage for Emma, as she founded both the Dance Club and the Business Club, reflecting her interest in blending creativity with more analytical thinking. Academically, Emma’s movement between creativity and structure was reflected in her interest in both humanities and business, a balance she hopes to continue pursuing at Wellesley College by exploring a path that combines analytical work and creative expression. Wherever her path leads, Emma will continue moving forward with the same discipline and energy that defined her years on Webb’s stages, courts, studios, and classrooms.
