Each day’s score includes both dress-up and spirit game scores. Class participation in unity dance will count for double the points!

After executives Annie Han (‘24) and Jonathan Rosales-Cardenas (‘24) announced the seniors as the winners of both Spirit Week and Spirit Night, the class of 2024 came together in celebration and cheered with their trophy.
Spirit Week replaces Theme Week for the 2023-2024 school year

The Foothill boulevard bike lane is part of Claremont’s two-decade long campaign to improve biking infrastructure but also roads in general. “The city has a policy called the Complete Street Policy, which stipulates that when you have roads that have these kinds of important characteristics, you need to look at this roadway segment to see if you can improve what you have there,” said Maria Tipping, a traffic engineer for the City of Claremont.

Before hundreds of hungry students and faculty stream into Price Dining Hall to refuel, Price Dining Hall staff members begin to prepare for lunch. “When I come to the Dining Hall, I clean the counters and roll up my sleeves seeing what I need to prepare and put out for dessert,” said Teresa Acosta, Price Dining Hall Kitchen Staff member. While the kitchen staff members move quickly between the food stations to prepare and cook a large number of dishes, Price Dining Hall fills with the aroma of cooking food.

Meet the 2023-2024 Student Government Class Officer candidates
The Vivian Webb and Webb School crests rest side by side in the Vivian Webb Chapel. The crests represent each separate school and their respective foundations. “I feel like a lot of Webb has revolved around this with school model, and I feel like combining the schools would change a lot of traditions and it would take away a lot of history that weve had,” said Ale Fountain (‘24), a junior day student. Ale refers to Webb’s plan to eventually reconstruct the two schools and rebrand as one co-educational school. For upperclassmen, this change does not impact much, as they will finish their Webb experience under the two-school system. However, for current underclassmen, their entire Webb experience might shift.

To end Spirit Night, the entire Student body dances to “Thriller” by Michael Jackson. In addition to their own dance, each grade choreographed a section of “Thriller” for their own class to dance to. The seniors ended their section with an iconic Michael Jackson pose to cue the rest of the grade for the first ever Spirit Night Unity Dance. “I thought it was fun, but felt as though it wasn’t a good replacement for the skits during theme night,” said Ken Lin (‘24)
Theme Week’s Spirit needs to make a comeback
A goldfish with a group of black-fish navigate murky waters in the Kenroku-en Garden in Kanazawa, Japan. What used to be an imagery of serenity has become an object of controversiality as nuclear wastewater was dumped into the water. People, like the fish, are clouded by the murky waters.
